About the Position:  
Eagle Mountain Nature and Wildlife Alliance (EMNWA), a dedicated nonprofit, is offering an unpaid internship for individuals passionate about wildlife conservation. Under the Board of Directors’ guidance, the intern will play a pivotal role in raising community funding and donations to support the mission and projects of EMNWA.

General Description:
This position requires a professional who organizes events, designs marketing and promotional materials and leads outreach efforts to help EMNWA meet its fundraising goals. The work includes recruiting community sponsors of funds, goods, and services.  This would include maintaining relationships with current donors. Ultimately, this individual will work with volunteers under the direction of the Board of Directors to identify potential donors and interact with EMNWA leaders to find opportunities to reach our financial goals.   

Responsibilities  

  • Collaborate closely with the Board for event planning and execution.  
  • Independently manage and complete Board-assigned tasks for fundraising support.  
  • Keep up-to-date records of sponsors for outreach activities.  
  • Prepare and present fundraising campaign concepts and secure Board approval for donation-driven campaigns.  
  • Train and orient volunteers for effective outreach.  
  • Manage and update contact lists of community individuals and businesses 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community donors and potential donors.  
  • Strategize with the Board of Directors and develop programs to boost contributions.  
  • Recruit sponsors, participants, and volunteers for events.  
  • Obtain commitments from donors and corporate sponsors.  

Skills and Background:  

  • Passion for nature and wildlife habitat preservation.  
  • Creative with strong persuasion abilities.  
  • Proficient in public speaking. 
  • Excellent organizational skills.  
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.  
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Teams).  
  • Committed to EMNWA’s mission.  
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing would be advantageous.
